Answers that help you prepare for the first conversation.

General information about planning, business counsel, and working with an attorney.

When should I contact an attorney?

Earlier is usually better—before signing an agreement, changing ownership, transferring important assets, or responding to a dispute. Early advice often preserves options that may disappear after a deadline or commitment.

What should I bring to an initial consultation?

Bring the documents that define the issue, a short chronology, the names of involved parties, important deadlines, and a clear description of the outcome you hope to achieve.

Do I need an estate plan if my estate is modest?

Estate planning also addresses decision-making during life, health care wishes, guardianship concerns, beneficiary designations, and avoiding uncertainty. It is not only about estate-tax planning.

Can the firm serve as outside counsel for my business?

The firm advises business owners on formation, governance, contracts, transactions, real estate, disputes, risk, and succession. The appropriate scope depends on the company’s needs.

Does contacting the firm create an attorney-client relationship?

No. A relationship begins only after the firm confirms it can accept the matter and both sides agree to the engagement. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through an unconfirmed channel.
